New cards

I just posted some new cards to my Etsy site! I am pretty excited about the "Crib Notes" note cards. They are too cute. They are made using a stamp set called "Very Punny" that I got last year. I love the funny little stamps. It is the same set that I used to make the "Hoppy for You" card. I hope to find a use for the other stamps in the set soon. So many ideas, so little time!

On another note, I found this really cool blog about environmentally friendly crafting. It had some neat ideas about how to reuse things such as the plastic eggs you get at easter. I haven't had a chance to browse it too much, but I really enjoyed the bit I did read. Check it out. http://craftingagreenworld.com/

Other than that not much else going on. Not too long until summer. 7 weeks! Whoo hoo!

Stamps Galore!

Friday was my birthday (YEA!) and I got a LOT of stamps. I had been saving up my money for a while now to make one big purchase, and my parents pitched in some money so I went stamp crazy. I have been putting them together all weekend and just got through with the last set. I can't wait to get started making new cards. Also, with only eight weeks left of the school year, I am itching for summer and plenty of free time to make cards! I don't think that a two day weekend is enough. I wish every weekend was three days. It would seem much more balanced to work four days and get three days off. Oh well, at least it will be summer time soon enough.

Stamping with Friends

With it being spring break and my best friends and I all being employed by the school district, I get to enjoy a week off! And boy do I look forward to it! One of my best friends is expecting her first child, so I spent one day with her stamping her baby announcements. They are SUPER cute! And when you put cards together assembly-line style they go together a lot quicker! We got 40 of them done, which is pretty amazing if you ask me. The next day I spent with one of my other friends and we made a few cards. I was a bit stamped out at that point, and only got three done. But I had ordered a new set of Easter stamps and made an awesome card with them that I mailed to my grandma. Quite exciting.

Another random fact. We are a bit into Rock Band right now. So into it in fact, that our band has been inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame. That is right. We are awesome.

I'm thinking about knitting up some baby socks to ad to my etsy site. I enjoy knitting but don't like projects that take a lot of time...baby socks are just about the right size.

Hope everyone enjoyed Spring Break week! Back to work again on Monday....

Welcome!

That is right. I have decided to blog about my adventures in crafting. So far my professional crafting career is pretty small. I think I have six different cards posted on Etsy. To find my things on Etsy, type MuddyMoose into the search bar.

My personal crafting career has been pretty exciting. My house is full of fabric, paper, and stamping supplies. I love to quilt and make cards. I dabble in knitting. I can knit socks and mittens, which is quite the achievement for me! I have completed a lot of quilts, mostly for my family members. My husband likes to tease me that I still haven't finished the quilt that I started for him before we were even married. I am notorious for starting things and not finishing them. It is definitely a process.

I will do my best to keep updated on this blog. I will also try to blog about not only my crafting, but things I learn, and random fun things about my life.
